Spread the Word!
- Send an email to everyone in your address book asking them to join your team. Then, ask them to email everyone in their address book as well. Click here for a sample email.
- Tell your family, friends and co-workers about the Challenge Walk MS and ask them to join your team.
- Send out letters announcing your commitment and invite recipients to join your team.
Display Posters and Brochures Everywhere
- Display Challenge Walk MS posters and brochures everywhere you can at work (cafeterias, restrooms, health clubs and break rooms are great).
- Drop a brochure on your co-worker’s desks, in bins or mailboxes.
- Write the team captains name and phone number on the posters and trading cards so people who are interested can get in touch.
- Display a sign up list in a high traffic area to create positive peer pressure and to encourage others.
Get Company Support
- Ask the highest ranking person in your company to send out an email or memo announcing they support your team.
- Ask your company to sponsor the team, provide team T-shirts or become an official Challenge Walk MS Sponsor.
- Ask your employer if the company supports a matching gifts program.
- Announce your Challenge Walk MS team in the company newsletter.
- Ask about payroll stuffers and inserting a “Challenge Walk” flyer in employee paychecks.
- National MS Society staff members are available to help with sign-up days and to give presentations to potential team members and management.
